Ray Kelly was the longest running NYPD commissioner in New York City’s history.

His stern style made him one of the country’s most highly esteemed law enforcement leaders.

We’re finding all of this out in his newly released autobiography, “Vigilance.”

In it, the native New Yorker gives a rare personal glimpse into his life and his rise through the ranks of the NYPD.

Kelly shares some of his experiences and addresses whether he plans on running for political office.
