The last known living 9/11 rescue dog returned to New York for her birthday.

Bretagne (Britney) the golden retriever was part of a Texas task force that helped with rescue efforts. She tirelessly helped sniff through  Ground Zero looking for human life.

In honor of her service, city dog lovers brought her back to Manhattan for a special sweet 16 birthday party— and a chance to bask in the appreciation of New Yorkers.

For her birthday Bretagne got a basket of treats and toys at a fancy hotel, a run in the park, and a personalized billboard in Times Square.
