Is New York City becoming too expensive to live in?

New statistics released by the Daily News this week shows that there are very few places one can live if they make the state mandated minimum of $8.75 an hour, in fact its nearly impossible to find somewhere to live.

According to the study, a person must make around $38.80 just to afford an apartment at the median price of $2960 in the Big Apple. Has New York City gotten so expensive that most people who life here can't really afford it?
