Man arrested for drunk driving with 14-year-old daughter in car

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — A New York City man was arrested Sunday night for driving while drunk with his 14-year-old daughter in the car.

Ramon Garcia, 57, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger in the car, according to the Suffolk County Police. Garcia was pulled over on the Long Island Expressway for speeding and having his tail lights off.

Police approached his car where they realized he was drunk. Garcia has other family members, including his 14-year-old daughter, in his car.

Garcia was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child, and also aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger 15 years old or younger, officials say.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday Morning.
