STATEN ISLAND – A Staten Island day care was evacuated Friday after reports of people feeling ill, according to city officials.

Administrators at the Ivy League Early Learning Academy rushed the 65 children and five adults inside the Richmond Avenue building across the street to the Willowbrook Baptist Church.

EMS evaluated the five adults at the scene, but no one was taken to the hospital.

According to the FDNY, paint fumes are believed to be the cause.
