Lanes reopen on GWB after car fire shuts down outbound upper-level

NEW YORK – A car fire on the upper level of the George Washington Bridge caused the closure of all outbound lanes during the evening rush hour.

There were initial delays up to two hours for commuters heading to New Jersey.

The crash was cleared up within half an hour.

No injuries were reported.
