Actor Dylan Baker tries to save woman from Hell’s Kitchen high-rise fire

WEST SIDE, Manhattan — One person is in critical condition after a fire broke out in a high-rise building in Hell's Kitchen.

The fire broke out on the 33rd floor of 484 West 43rd St. Tuesday afternoon around 5 p.m.

Actor Dylan Baker who has played memorable roles in the Spiderman movies, happens to live on the same floor and tried to pull the tenant out but was unsuccessful due to the flames and smoke. Baker got out of the building safely with his family.

Firefighters arrived and located the person in the apartment. The tenant was taken to St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in critical condition.

The fire was put out before it spread to any other apartments. No other victims were found

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
