HACKENSACK, N.J. — A grand jury has indicted ten people on charges stemming from the murder of Nazerah Bugg, 14, last year.

The 25-count indictment was handed up by a Bergen County grand jury. It charges four men and three juveniles with murder and conspiracy, and three other people with hindering apprehension.

The charges stem from the September 2014 slaying of Nazerah Bugg, who authorities have said was not the shooters' intended target. Fifteen shots were fired into a crowd from at least two handguns during the incident in Paterson, which left another teen wounded.

County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes told PIX11 in 2014 that there were two shootings the day Bugg was killed. Earlier that day, bullets struck a 17-year-old's car less than a mile from the crime scene.

The case was moved from Passaic County to Bergen County because a relative of Bugg's works in the Passaic County Court's criminal division and may have access to files and other information about the case.
