Fears over China and Greece hammer US stocks for 2nd day

NEW YORK (AP) — The Dow Jones industrial average is down more than 500 points in afternoon trading as the market sell-off accelerates.

The plunge is being driven by fears about China's slowing economy, which is also driving oil to below $40 per barrel for the first time since the financial crisis.
