BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who allegedly raped a woman at gunpoint and knocked her teeth out during an attack in Brooklyn early Monday.
NYPD said the 52-year-old woman was on her way to the store about 3 a.m. Monday when the culprit randomly met her in the vicinity of Putnam and Bedford avenues and ordered her to follow him under the threat of being shot. She followed him into a building on Lefferts Place where he pushed his fingers down her throat, removed her underwear and then raped her near an outside staircase leading to a basement, according to cops.
The victim lost two teeth in the attack and was taken to a local hospital where she is in stable condition.
Police said no weapon was shown and nothing was stolen from the victim.
The attacker, who is described as black and in his late thirties, has a muscular build and possibly bite marks on his right hand, police said.
