AUSTRALIA — A mother spent several days in the hospital with her infant son only to leave and find that her car had been ticketed. But to her surprise, a generous stranger had paid the ticket for her and now that thankful mom is sharing the story with the hopes that Laura sees her appreciation.

That’s according to a post on the Canberramums Facebook page, a community group in Australia that connects mothers.

“After those days in hospital,” the anonymous mom wrote. “A parking ticket was one more thing that I didn’t need.”

To her surprise, upon opening the envelope, she found a kind stranger had already paid the fine for her.

The note read, “Hi there, I saw your car had a parking ticket on it, I’m sure whatever you are going through at the hospital is tough enough so I have paid it for you.”

The post included a picture of the kind note and a message that the mysterious Laura would see it.

“I hope that Laura sees this and knows how much I appreciate her support. Thank you so much,” the mom wrote.

More than 4,000 commenters weighed in on the generous act.

“Her random act of kindness helped this lady when she obviously needed it. You truly are an angel Laura …” Judith Donahay wrote on the post.

On reddit, many users were inspired by this act of kindness.

“Stranger as heroes. We need more of em. I hope I ‘notice’ when I get a chance to do random kindness,” reddit user daily420games said.
