APOPKA, Fla. — A little boy was caught on camera blowing into a breathalyzer to start his mother’s car, installed by the child’s father because he says he wife has a drinking problem, authorities in Florida said.

Doug King said he’s so outraged with his wife, April, that he refuses to bail her out of jail, WFTV reports. She’s been charged with child neglect.

Footage from an officer's body camera shows April King, 35, and her children -- ages 2 and 4 -- in the parking lot of Froggers Grill and Bar last Sunday. Her older child can be seen blowing in a breathalyzer meant to gauge the driver’s blood-alcohol level before the car begins to run.

It allegedly happened after King went to a bar -- and left her children in the car to do so.

“I have a lady that just came in and sat down at my bar and her kid's in the car with the A/C running,” the bar’s manager said in a 911 call obtained by WFTV. “He looks like he's about 2 or 3 years old.”

He went on to tell the dispatcher that King left the car and was driving around the parking lot.

“She seemed a little under the influence and then she chugged a beer, but I didn't know she had a kid in the car,” the manager told the dispatcher.

The mother of two recently was released from rehab and her husband installed the device to protect her -- and their children. He told WFTV he’s shocked.

“My son just turned 4 years old and the fact that he learned how to do that, I don't put the intelligence behind him one bit but to learn to hum and blow at the same time, it was a surprise to me,” Doug King told the station.

Fed up, he said he’s packing up the kids and moving back to Oklahoma.

Police said they did not charge King with drunken driving because they cannot prove she was driving the car.
