Video shows arsonist torching popular BK restaurant Strictly Vegetarian: police

PROSPECT PARK SOUTH, Brooklyn – Police are looking for a suspected arsonist wanted for setting fire to a Brooklyn restaurant in the early hours of July 23.

Surveillance cameras recorded a man walking past Strictly Vegetarian Restaurant at 2268 Church Avenue just after 3 a.m.  Video shows him walking by just as the side of the building erupts in flames.

The restaurant was a hole-in-the-wall favorite among locals, who rated it highly online.  Diners praised the vegetarian Caribbean dishes that included black eyed peas, curry tofu, mashed pumpkin, kale and bean curd.
