TIMES SQUARE – The Spider-Man character in Times Square has been on the wrong side of the law in the past, but on Thursday he stepped up and took down a heckler.

According to Geoff Golberg, who recorded the incident with his phone, the man had been harassing the other performers, including Peter Parker himself.

The video opens with Spider-Man and the alleged heckler squaring off in front of the Toys "R" Us, and the costumed character lands several perfectly-thrown punches as a cheering crowd grows around them.

What exactly started the fight is still not clear.  The NYPD has no information of an arrest in the superhero smackdown caught on video.

It's not the first time a Times Square Spider-Man has gotten physical.  In July of last year, a man dressed as Spider-Man was arrested after allegedly cursing a police officer and punching him in the face.
