NJ Transit trains resume service at Newark Penn Station; significant delays expected

NEWARK, N.J. — NJ Transit trains in and out of Newark Penn Station have resumed service after a track fire halted all lines for a short time.

All train traffic along the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast and Raritan Valley lines are subject to 30-minute delays.

Problems began after a small fire broke out along the tracks outside Newark Penn Station Thursday afternoon.
