NEW YORK — Actor Will Smith is speaking out about the flurry of rumors that he and Jada Pinkett Smith are ending their marriage.

Smith took to Facebook Monday to shut down the gossip.

“Under normal circumstances, I don’t usually respond to foolishness. (Because it’s contagious) But, so many people have extended me their ‘deepest condolences’ that I figured – ‘What the hell… I can be foolish, too!'” Smith said.

He then goes on to say that in the interest of redundancy, he and Jada are not getting divorced. If the couple were to break it off, Smith says he’d tell his fans himself.

The couple has been the target of divorce rumors in the past.

In an interview with American Way Magazine, Pinkett Smith addressed the rumor mill.

“Every year there’s a new one, and I’m like, ‘Here we go. Get Ready. Are ya holdin’ on tight?'” she told the magazine.
