Flash flood warning in effect for much of New York City, parts of New Jersey as storms roll in

A Flash flood Warning is in effect for Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx in New York City, and Hudson and Bergen counties in New Jersey through 4:30 p. m.

Lots of lightning from the storm moving is moving into Western New Jersey. Small hail and strong gusty winds are possible.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect until 3:30 p.m. for central Nassau County, the Bronx, west central Suffolk County, and Queens.
