UPPER EAST SIDE – Firefighters rushed to a posh Upper East Side building Thursday afternoon after reports of debris falling to the ground.

According to initial information from the FDNY, pieces of the building were crashing down from 740 Park Avenue.  The debris turned out to be a small chunk of the building that was disposed of at the scene.

No one was hurt in the incident.

It’s not known if the series of thunderstorms passing through the New York City-area caused the debris to break loose.

The building is the subject of the documentary Park Avenue: Money, Power and the American Dream, in which director Alex Gibney investigates the 400 richest Americans.
