Truck fire sparks delays on I-495 in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY — A now-extinguished truck fire on Interstate 495 in New Jersey is causing extensive delays in the westbound lanes in North Bergen Township.

Drivers can expect delays between 30 and 45 minutes, officials said.

The fire broke out in the eastbound Exclusive Bus Lane between Kennedy Boulevard and Lincoln Tunnel. That lane was closed but since has been reopened.

All westbound lanes on Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen Township have reopened.

The ramp to JFK Boulevard remained closed as of 9:30 a.m
