ATLANTA — Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has died, a family representative said Sunday evening.
"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family," the statement said. "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
Brown was found unresponsive January 31 in a bathtub in her home in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell. The extent of her injuries were never made public.
She was found by her boyfriend Nick Gordon, who called police. While Brown called Gordon her husband, but her father's attorney says the two were never married. Gordon was not welcome in Bobbi Kristina's hospital room.
In April, Brown's grandmother said that she had "irreversible brain damage."
Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate. As of today, she has been moved into hospice care," a statement from Brown's family read.
We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now."
Brown's mother Whitney Houston died in 2012 after she was found in a bathtub in a Los Angeles hotel. Her death was ruled an accidental drowning by the medical examiner. Heart disease and cocaine use were listed as contributing factors.
Brown was the late singer's only child.
According to Hollywood Life, Brown will be buried next to her mother.AlertMe
