Police searching for 2 suspects involved in Bronx shooting

HIGBRIDGE, The Bronx -- Two suspects are on the loose after shooting a 31-year-old man in the Highbridge section of the Bronx early Saturday.

The victim was standing in front of 1055 University Ave. around 1:30 a.m. when the suspects approached him and started a brief conversation before shooting him in the leg.

The suspects fled the scene and were seen on nearby surveillance. The victim was taken to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in stable condition.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
