2 critically injured after ceiling caves at building near Grand Central Terminal

NEW YORK - Two people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after a ceiling collapse at a midtown building.

Both were taken to Bellevue with life-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY.

The accident  happened at 317 Madison Avenue when the second floor of a building under construction collapsed.

Emergency responders are now on the scene, including FDNY and police.

It's unclear how the ceiling collapse occurred.
