NY woman adopts dying best friend’s 4 children

NEW YORK – A family has doubled in size – all because a woman made good on a promise to her dying her friend.

Elizabeth Diamond was diagnosed with brain cancer last August. She later died in April.

Laura Raffino was best friends with Diamond since fifth grade.

She promised to take of her four daughters.

Ruffino said the last few months have been difficult , but everyone is doing the best they can.
