Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Orange County

NEW YORK - As heat continues to bake the state, residents of Orange County are being warned that rough weather may be on the way.

The National Weather Service has declared a severe thunderstorm warning in the area through 5:15 p.m.

Some of the other locations that are expected to be hit by the storm include Washingtonville, Central Valley, Tuxedo Park, Cornwall on Hudson, Highland Mills, Firthcliffe, Highland Falls, Kiryas Joel and Fort Montgomery.

Large hail and winds up to 60 miles per hour are possible.  The storm is expected to bring torrential rain that could causes flash flooding.
