NEW JERSEY — Problems persisted Tuesday for New Jersey Transit riders traveling between the Garden State and New York but since have been resolved, the agency said.

Trains on the Northeast Corridor Line are running on or close to schedule after experiencing delays due to Amtrak signal problems, NJ Transit said in a 9:45 a.m. update. At the height of the delays, trains were behind schedule as much as 60 minutes.

A similar problem with Amtrak overhead lines plagued the Monday evening commute for NJ Transit riders.

Commuters were urged to give themselves extra time to get to their destination. Click here to get updates from the transit agency.
