“Full House” star John Stamos has checked himself into rehab, People Magazine reported.

The 51-year-old, best known as Uncle Jesse on the beloved family sitcom, will be treated for substance abuse. His stint in rehab follows a DUI charge he received in June.

Stamos tweeted to his fans after the incident, after which he was hospitalized for a short time for an unknown condition.

The suave actor made headlines in 2007 when he made an appearance on an Australian morning show with slurred speech and strange behavior. He later attributed the bizarre incident to a combination of sleeping pills and jet lag.

StamosĀ is set to reprise his role of Uncle Jesse in next year’s “Fuller House,” which is set to be released on Netflix.
