Cuomo hopes special prosecutor restores civilian confidence in NYPD, addresses feud with Mayor

A special prosecutor is now in place to investigate civilian deaths by officers.

Governor Cuomo made it official Wednesday naming attorney general Eric Schneiderman to the post for the next year.

It comes after a push for more transparency in the death of Eric Garner.

Cuomo explained his decision and also addressed his ongoing feud with the Mayor Bill de Blasio in a phone interview Thursday morning
