HARLEM, Manhattan-- The historic promotion of Misty Copeland as the new principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre has inspired many young ballerinas, especially the adorable tutu-wearing ladies at the Harlem School of the Arts.

The school, located at 645 St. Nicholas Ave., has a bridge program with the American Ballet, helping students learn the art of the dance.

Lisa Mateo spoke to some of children participating in the program along with their instructor Aubrey Lynch II.
