Cops arrest 1 of 2 suspects in murder of Brooklyn livery cab driver

BROOKLYN– Police have arrested one of the two suspects involved in the murder of a livery cab driver in Brooklyn.

Tyrell Gardenhire, 24, is being charged with attempted robbery, murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said Friday.

NYPD are also looking for 23-year-old Unique Gray for his involvement in the murder of 35-year-old Naji Fawaz.

On Monday, Fawaz, a native of Yemen and father of three, was found in driver’s seat with bullets to his torso, shoulder and neck in front of 396 Decatur St. He was a driver for New Adam Express Car and Limo and had been driving for over five years.
