NEW YORK -- Let the festivities begin, but first there will be traffic.

AAA New York says more than 41 million people will travel this weekend. That's a slight increase over last year. Gas prices are the lowest they have been in years.

On Saturday, the city will host a national fireworks show from the East River.

Road closures are planned along the FDR and the waterfront of Long Island City.
