TRIBECA, Manhattan — As the sun went down, the bass went up.

Thousands who strutted and sashayed along 5th Avenue for the Pride March headed to the iconic "Dance on the Pier" party, at Pier 26 in Tribeca.

Those who were lucky to get a ticket to the sold out event say there's still much to celebrate.

Celebrating it's 29th year, "The Dance on the Pier" is an iconic piece of New York's Pride history.

Its also the largest ticketed party of pride week and the most crowded.

While its a good excuse to have fun on a Sunday night, the dance is also pride's largest fundraiser in New York City.

Former headliners have included Cher, Whitney Houston and Jennifer Lopez.

This year, Ariana Grande, helped bring the week of LGBT festivities to an end.
