MELROSE, Bronx -- A man has been arrested on suspicion of killing his older sister on her 30th birthday, police said Friday.

Jeremy Wilson, 26, of Manhattan, faces charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

The body of Wilson's sister -- Erica Wilson -- was found about 7:15 p.m. Thursday inside the victim's home in the 800 block of Brook Avenue in the Bronx, police said.

When officers arrived, responding to an assault in progress, they discovered Wilson naked and bloody on the floor. She was lying face-down, unconscious and unresponsive with severe head trauma, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased Wilson was one of six children, friends told PIX11 News. She worked at Toys R Us at the Gateway Mall and as a nanny in Manhattan, where the rest of her family lives.
