FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens—Police are offering a $12,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who fired three rounds on plainclothes officers in Queens.

A sergeant and officer were patrolling the Redfern Houses in Far Rockaway June 7 at 1:45 a.m. when they saw six men standing on 14-30 Redfern Ave. whose activities they wished to further observe.

After the officers parked the car, a man in a dark-colored hoodie displayed his gun and shot three rounds at the officers.

The officers did not return fire and took cover as they requested assistance. They were taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.

The firearm was no recovered, but 9-millimeter shell casings were found in front of the building.
