WFAN’s Boomer and Carton, Yankees to host charity game for NYPD

THE BRONX -- WFAN's Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton along with the New York Yankees will host a star-studded celebrity softball game for the NYPD Wednesday night.

The game begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday and proceeds will go directly to Silver Shield Foundation, the Widows' and Children's Fund, and the families of Detectives Brian Moore, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan, former Yankees manager Joe Torre and Giants head coach Tom Coughlin are among those expected to play.

With the purchase of a ticket stub, fans will be able to attend a free Yankees game at a later date.
