Three young men wanted in Chinatown sexual assault, robbery: NYPD

CHINATOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) -- NYPD released surveillance video showing three young men wanted in an alleged sexual assault and robbery of a 33-year-old woman that happened in Chinatown Monday morning.

Police said the incident occurred around 5 a.m. Monday when the three attackers sexually assaulted the victim and stole her property on Canal Street. She was treated at an area hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

The thieves got greedy and then tracked down her Chinatown apartment where they were seen on video going up the stairs. However, they got scared and fled when coming across the victim's roommate, police said.

The first assailant, described as an Asian male by cops, is approximately 20-years-old, with a thin build and light complexion. He last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers and glasses, according to police.

They said the second attacker, described as a white male, is approximately 20-years-old, with a thing build and light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black and gray baseball hat, red Nike sweatshirt and blue jeans and tan boots.

Police said the third individual involved, a black male, is also about 20-years-old, with thin build, dark complexion. This person was last seen wearing a gray Adidas hooded sweatshirt, white shorts and white sneakers.
