Man puts on scrubs, steals money from St. Francis Hospital

FLOWER HILL, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are looking for a suspect they say broke into a Flower Hill hospital and stole several items.

According to detectives, the suspect entered St. Francis Hospital at 100 Port Washington Blvd., Sunday afternoon.

Once the suspect got into the cardiac imaging area in the basement, he allegedly grabbed a master key and ID card from the nurse's station. He then entered the staff lounge and changed into scrubs.

Police say he went into several offices and took an unknown amount of money and an Amazon Kindle.

Staff at the hospital reported the items missing on Tuesday and called police.
