JAMAICA, Queens -- A shirtless, towel-draped man was arrested Tuesday in the stabbing death of a young woman inside a Queens home, police said.

The attack happened shortly before 7 a.m. inside a basement apartment located at 95-30 134th St., police said.

Officers were called to the home about a domestic dispute. When they arrived, they found the victim -- a 27-year-old woman -- suffering from stab wounds to her shoulder and wrist, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Video captured by PIX11 News showed officers order a man to the ground and handcuff him near the scene of the crime. A law enforcement source confirmed to PIX11 News the man is under arrest in the stabbing.

The man was seen walking along a sidewalk in the residential neighborhood without shoes or a shirt, and with a towel stained with blood wrapped around his shoulders.

Police ordered him to the ground and he was taken into custody without incident, video shows.
