BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (PIX11) — Three teenagers have been arrested after police say they sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in a wooded area of a Brentwood country club.

According to Suffolk County Police, 17-year-old Jose Cornejo, 18-year-old Bryan Larios and 17-year-old Joel Escobar allegedly approached the victim and another man near a Brentwood school on May 29 and robbed them. The male ran away after the suspects hit him and stole his iPad.

Police say they then took the girl to the Brentwood Country Club Course at 100 Pennsylvania Ave., where they raped her in a wooded area. The girl was found naked by golfers on the course.

The suspects allegedly said they had a gun. No weapon was ever shown.

Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Lawrence Opisso says Cornejo and Escobar are believed to be MS-13 gang members.

The suspects were arraigned Sunday and each charged with counts of sexual assault, rape and robbery.

They’re being held without bail.
