One killed when shooter opens fire on Long Island, 3 others injured

NORTH AMITYVILLE, Long Island (PIX11) — One person is dead and at three more victims were early Saturday when a shooter opened fire on Long Island, police said.

Around 2 a.m., the shooter opened fire at 66 Coolidge Street in North Amityville after a fight spilled onto the street. Three men were transported to nearby hospitals for gunshot wounds, and another man was taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained during the fight.

Police believe there may have been a party at a nearby hall before the fight broke out.
