KENSINGTON, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A 70-year-old woman was stabbed in the neck allegedly by her son, who police said came at responding officers with a foot-long knife and was promptly tased in their Brooklyn home.
It happened shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 100 block of Dahill Road in the Kensington section of Brooklyn, NYPD said.
It’s not clear who called 911, but officers arrived at the first-floor apartment to find a locked front door.
When they finally convinced the 49-year-old man to let them inside, they discovered the man was holding a 12-inch knife, NYPD said. That’s when one of the officers used a stun gun on the man, who was found to have wounds on his right wrist and neck.
The officers then found the man’s mother in another room suffering from stab wounds to her neck and torso.
Both the mother and her son were taken to a hospital. Police said charges are pending against the victim’s son.
