Firefighters investigating cause of 2-alarm fire in Hoboken apartment

HOBOKEN, N.J. (PIX11) -- Firefighters are investigating what caused a 2-alarm fire in a high-rise building in Hoboken Saturday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 5 p.m. in an apartment building at 100 1st St. at the Marion Towers.

Black smoke could be seen billowing from the building from as far as across the Hudson River.

Video taken by Marisa Musachio was taken from the roof of a nearby Home Depot.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire within an hour.

No injuries have been reported.

None of the units were severely damaged.
