CHELSEA, Manhattan (PIX11) -- The NYPD has identified the suspect in an attack on two gay men inside a Manhattan restaurant earlier this month.
Police said Bayna El-Amin, 41, is wanted in connection with the beating that occurred on May 5 at a Dallas BBQ on Eighth Avenue in Chelsea.
They are still trying to determine whether the attacker hurled anti-gay comments during the beating, which was caught on camera. It happened shortly after 11 p.m.
A 32-year-old man was punched and kicked allegedly by El-Amin and suffered bruising to the face, while another man was hit with a chair, suffering injuries to the left side of his face, police said.
Detectives said El-Amin is a career criminal, and he may have fled the state.
