(PIX11)--Philip Krim is the CEO of one of the hottest companies in the country, Casper. It’s a business that’s transformed the mattress industry by  selling beds online and delivering them in boxes.

Krim and four other friends started Casper after they got an idea while hanging out.

“We saw people passing out in bean bag chairs and that led to a conversation about how buying a mattress remained one of the most terrible experiences in existence today,” Krim said.

Krim and his partners worked with an inventor to create a comfortable mattress. Instead of having customers go to a showroom, they sell the beds online. In the first six months in business, Casper raised $13 million from investors including Ashton Kutcher and the rapper Nas.
