Terrible Phillies fan steals home run ball from older woman

(PIX11) – For Philadelphia Phillies fans this is a new low — during Sunday’s game against the Diamondbacks, a man was caught on camera ripping a home run ball from the clutches of a female fan.

Both FOX announcers were shocked as the much larger man swept in to steal Phillies’ Maikel Franco’s first career home run ball from the older woman.  “Lets see the fan here, off the glove of that woman and this guy comes barreling over and pushes her aside and takes it away!” says Steve Berthiaume.

That’s not gentlemanly, the politeness police ought to arrest that man,” Brenly says,” to which Bethiaume replies, “Well, you know, it’s Philly.”

A Fox Sports employee stepped in to try to rectify the situation after it was pointed out on air, however, and what he brought her apparently smoothed things over:
