Police search for suspect in East Rockaway bank robbery

EAST ROCKAWAY, N.Y. (PIX11) — Nassau County police are searching for a suspect they say robbed an East Rockaway bank Monday morning.

According to police, the suspect entered at Capital One Bank at 115 Main St., around 9:45 a.m.

The suspect approached the teller and demanded money. He also slipped the teller a note.

The teller gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money before the suspect fled the scene.

There were six employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.

He is described as being between 35 and 40 and approximately 5-foot-11. He was wearing a blue Syracuse Lacrosse hooded sweatshirt.
