(PIX11) — R&B singer August Alsina confessed to his 2.7 million fans via Instagram that he is currently battling an eye disease that is causing him to lose his vision.
“So I have this eye disease,” the 22-year-old captioned on a picture of himself getting surgery. “Blind in my left, and losing vision in my right.”
So I have this eye disease.. Blind in my left, and losing vision in my right. In order to prevent my eyesight from deteriorating ihad to do this surgery. This shit is beyond painful & Life be throwin' a nigxa curve balls but what I've gained from it all is priceless… A lot of things that are so natural to us in life (like waking up and being able to see 👀) we can take it for granted. Thank God the OG for allowing me to see.. The good the bad the ugly, I'm just glad to see👀
The “No Love” singer added that it was painful, but it will prevent his eyesight from deteriorating more. He didn’t specify exactly what disease he is suffering from.
“A lot of things that are so natural to us in life (like waking up and being able to see) we can take it for granted,” he wrote.
In September, Alsina passed out while on stage at Irving Plaza and didn’t wake up from a coma for three days, MTV reported.
Alsina has worked with artists like Nicki Minaj, B.o.B., Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti and more. He will be hitting the road with Chris Brown in June for the four-day tour.
