Passenger killed after ambulette collides with bus near Palisades Center Mall

WEST NYACK, N.Y. (PIX11) — A man was killed after an ambulette and a small bus collided near a suburban shopping mall just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Clarkstown police say the minibus was carrying two passengers and the ambulette was carrying one.

The 48-year-old man killed was a passenger in the ambulette. None of the injuries sustained by the other four parties are deemed to be life threatening.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Rt. 303 and Palisades Center Drive, near the Palisades Mall, about 25 miles north of New York City.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Traffic in the area remains closed southbound at Palisades Center Drive North and Rt. 303.
