NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The staffers at the Grand Hyatt New York created a special day for a terminally ill child Monday afternoon based on the child’s favorite movie.

Mario Toranzo of Miami suffers from Leigh Syndrome, a severe neurological disorder. After watching the movie “Home Alone 2” as a child, Mario dreamed of travelling to New York City, staying in a luxury hotel suite, and ordering whatever he wanted from the room service menu.

His dream came true when Mario arrived at the Grand Hyatt Monday with the help of a full NYPD motorcade. A crowd cheered as Mario entered. He was taken to a suite on the 34th floor fully stocked with Yankees memorabilia, candy, and he will be allowed to order whatever he wants from the room service menu.
