NEW YORK (PIX11) — A French tourist  and rapper who vanished Monday has been found in a Bronx hospital after allegedly being assaulted.

Arthur Astie, 22, was last seen at about 11:45 p.m. at the Nostrand Avenue and Park Place subway station on the No. 2 train, the NYPD says. Friends say Astie was actually last seen at about 8:30 p.m., when he was a guest on Radio Bushwick.

Astie, who also performs under the name Ubu Omikro, was staying in Harlem and was supposed to get off at the 125th Street and Lennox Avenue stop, but took the train too far. Astie was last heard from in the Bronx, where he says he was going back underground to get on the correct train.

“HIS ENGLISH IS VERY POOR. He does not know the city. He missed his flight home yesterday,” one missing person’s flier reads. The hashtag #MissingUbu is being used to spread word of Astie’s disappearance on Twitter.

An eagle-eyed Twitter user recognized Astie from a photo he took in Harlem Tuesday.

Astie’s friends confirmed to PIX11 that he has been located in a Bronx hospital. His family says he was attacked.

Further details on the assault remain unclear at this time.
