Cops seek man on scooter who raped 21-year-old woman in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11)-- Police are looking for a man who allegedly raped a 21-year-old woman on a Bronx rooftop after he threatened her with a knife, NYPD said Tuesday.

The incident happened about 1 a.m. Monday.

Police said the culprit approached the young woman and told her he had a knife. Then the attacker forced the victim onto the rooftop landing of a building of Banyer Place, where he raped her then robbed her, NYPD said.

The attacker fled the building with the victim's property, according to police. The victim was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Police are searching for man who stands approximately 6 feet tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has a medium complexion, black hair in braids, brown eyes and a rash on the right side of his face.

Surveillance video shows the alleged rapist riding a scooter.
